Bowen Therapy
A gentle remedial body technique that initiates the body's own ability to balance, restore and heal itself.

What is Bowen Therapy?
Bowen Therapy is a gentle remedial body technique, using thumb and finger pressure to create light rolling-type movements across muscle fibres, tendons or ligaments with no forceful manipulation.
These moves are often applied in special sequences. You breathe in and on exhalation, Bowen moves are applied to specific muscles, tendons and ligaments. This initiates the muscle to relax, increases circulation and lymph flow, and improves the flexibility of the fascia, allowing the body to re-align and balance itself.
At specific times during the treatment, the practitioner may allow your body to rest for a couple of minutes. This is an important part of the treatment as it gives your body time to react to the work already done.
